About us

Our company PRINCIP a.s. was founded with Czech stock capital in 1991.
ISO 9001/2000 certificate for development, production, sales and maintenance of electronic devices was granted in 2003.

Business objectives of the company as specified in the Commercial Register:
Research and development in the area of natural and technical sciences;
Production, installation and repairs of electronic devices;
Distribution of software – custom programming and sales of programs.

Employees
There are 30 persons employed in the company now, most of them scientists and professional workers with university degrees in the fields of cybernetics and electronics.

Professional activities
Our electronic vehicle logbook LUPUS on-line/off-line counts among our most successful products commercially. It was repeatedly awarded quality brand “Czech Made” and Czech prize for quality. More than 100 thousand vehicle units for transport logistics and protection of cars and trucks were totally sold in the Czech Republic and in the European Union. It is the sixth generation of mobile units already that is in production nowadays.
Since 2003, we have exported our products into both European and other countries, like Hungary, Greece, Turkey, Denmark, UK, Germany, Slovakia and Poland.

Our „WEBDISPEČINK“ is the most successful Czech portal service for fleet management. This service has been awarded the prestigious Grand Prix Autotec 2006.

Our products will provide you with comprehensive overview of your fleet, checking, planning and optimisation of vehicle usage. We design customized solutions best suited for the environment of each partner. Our major goal is cutting the costs of transportation and of related activities.

Science and research
We have been active in science and research for more then eleven years now. In addition to our own research and development we also offer customized research in electronics and IT to our clients. Most of our customers come from automotive industry. Both national and European research projects play important role in our activities.
We have solved or are solving now the following national/European science and research projects:

• Intelligent positioning system based on GPS for increasing security and effectivity of ground transport management (Czech Ministry of Transport 1997-2000).
  UN Section of Transport has recognized the quality and benefits of this project;

  Development of a multifunctional satellite unit for electronic toll collection (EU 2002-2005)
  
• Research and development of an intelligent self-adjusting control system OBE GALILEO (Czech Ministry of Industry and Commerce 2006-2008)
• PREZEM – Satellite application for precise agriculture (Czech Ministry of Education, Science and Physical Training 2006-2011)
• SATEL - Satellite localization of vehicles in traffic telematics. (MPO 2A-1TP1/023) -- subcontractor for "Interface of interoperable On-board unit"
• HYBRID - Hybrid system for electronic toll collection. (CG743-107-120)

Electronic toll
PRINCIP a.s. has been a world leader in the development of satellite and hybrid units for electronic toll collection since 2005.

GALILEO MASTERS 2006 Prize awarded for development of the first hybrid unit for electronic toll collection by the European Space Agency (ESA).
